China's largest "sewage treatment plant" + "photovoltaic power generation" project is officially connected to the grid!

On November 18, China's largest wastewater treatment plant distributed photovoltaic power generation project Beihu wastewater treatment plant photovoltaic power station finally achieved full capacity officially connected to the grid, opening a new chapter in the green industry of Wuhan Holdings.

The power station adopts the mode of "self-generation and grid-connection of surplus power". It is estimated that during 25 years of operation, the PV project can provide about 22 million kWh of green and clean electricity annually, saving about 0.8 million tons of coal-fired power generation, which is equivalent to reducing carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions by about 20,000 tons, with outstanding environmental benefits and significant energy-saving and emission reduction effects. The project will contribute to the strategic goal of "20 'double carbon'" by actively and steadily promoting Wuhan Holdings' carbon neutral business.
It is understood that the North Lake wastewater treatment plant photovoltaic project is the first wastewater treatment plant distributed photovoltaic project in the main city of Wuhan.

This project is the first of many domestic projects under construction:
1 Installed scale of the first national sewage plant
2 Number of the first distributed large-span flexible support in China
3 China's first flexible bracket single span

It is the annual key project of Wuhan City Investment Group, Water Group and Wuhan Holdings.

In recent years, with the introduction of the national dual carbon policy, Wuhan Holdings followed suit and actively explored and sought a new era of energy economy model. Therefore, in the "double carbon" in the goal, the sewage treatment plant as a major energy consumer energy saving and consumption reduction is also on the agenda, "photovoltaic + sewage plant" this model can give full play to the natural advantages of the huge space of the sewage treatment plant, reduce the electricity consumption of the sewage treatment plant Costs.

Since the start of the PV project of Beihu Wastewater Treatment Plant, all employees of Wuhan Holdings Green Industry Branch have actively coordinated the installation of PV arrays, electrical installation and commissioning, and fully participated in the construction of the project.

To ensure the project progress and construction safety, Wuhan Holdings Green Industry Branch took the lead in setting up three groups of "technical research, project management and operation and maintenance guarantee" and held regular project-specific meetings to fully control the project safety, quality and progress.

The span of the plant is large, the maximum continuous span is 730 meters, of which the area of the secondary sedimentation tank is 59.3 meters in a single span. Green Industry Branch and Central South Power Design Institute have overcome the technical difficulties together. After repeated technical argumentation, the technical solution of large span flexible support PV was chosen. The deflection problem brought by the large span can be effectively adjusted by tensioning the sub-cables, making the PV plant both safe and beautiful.

Beihu sewage treatment plant to undertake half of the sewage treatment work in Wuchang City, in order to ensure the normal operation of the sewage treatment plant, the green industry branch of the technical breakthroughs, project management, operation and maintenance to ensure that the team took the initiative to communicate repeatedly with the Beihu sewage treatment plant, Wuhan Power Supply Company and other relevant departments of the plant, Wuhan Power Supply Company and other relevant departments to participate in the development of the power station grid-connected program to minimize the sewage treatment plant. The final development of grid-connected power generation implementation plan, to ensure that the PV grid-connected power generation during the plant production "zero impact".
